The Recording Industry

Why is music on the radio so bad? Do playlists come down to market forces and radio listeners choosing what they want to listen to? Or is it something else? How hard are corporations working to influence the public's perception and attitudes?

I think in many respects, you're right about constant repetition starting to affect people's perceptions. Politicians and others in control use this method all the time. Personally, the more I hear "bad" music, the more I hate it.

I thought the 80's were generally the pits when it came to pop music. I can come up with pretty aextensive list of music I like from the 70's and the 90's. My 80's list is a lot shorter.
