Religion in Rural America

The promise of America. Despite wide-spread skepticism in modern Western nations (especially European countries) freedom of religion is still important to many people in the world. I'd suggest, even if you're an atheist, it should be important to you too. If your freedom to believe in and worship God as you understand him is curtailed, your freedom to openly not believe in God could just as well be curtailed.

Yeah, there's a lot of problems with religions. And there are a lot of religious people that would like to tell you how to live your life (and use the law to enforce how they think you should live your life). But, there are a lot of problems with laws and government and education systems and just about every other human social construct you care to name also.

Located about 2 miles apart in eastern Oklahoma county about 15 miles from Oklahoma City. The Buddha Mind monastery on Anderson Road and the Living Faith Ministries on Henny Road.

The Buddha Mind Monastery

Living Faith Ministries

I find an interesting contrast and similarity in the two.
